By Scott Rodgers

There has been an increase in deaths because of water type illnesses in last few years. This type of illness is not caused only because of impure water but also due to the type of container used in storing water. So, we need to take care of water we are taking in.

The container that is used for storing water is of big concern because it affects the quality of water stored in it. If you are not using right container you may suffer from some harmful diseases, which will badly affect your health.

Let us discuss the attributes of most common water container, which is plastic. Most of the people often use plastic container to store water but they don't know the harmful effects of using it. Plastic containers contain dangerous chemicals which get dissolved in water and make it unfit for drinking.

BPA (Bisphenol-A) is used to make plastics, it is a substance that is considered to be hazardous to our health. When we store water in a plastic container, this chemical gets dissolved in it and might cause cancer after coming into our body. Plastic also contain phthalate, which is also water soluble and harmful for our body. So if we store water in a plastic container these harmful chemicals enter into our body.

A plastic container not only makes water unfit for drinking but also changes its taste. The hazardous chemicals added by plastic in the water affects your health badly and can prove to be fatal.

Let us now discuss another type of water container that is a glass container. This type of container is considered safe to use as the constituents of glass are not water soluble. Hence, they do not add any adulterant to water and maintain its property. Moreover, no inner coating is done in a glass container.

Stainless steel containers are very popular for storing water from long ago because it preserves the basic nature of water and does not change its property. You will find taste of water to be same if, stored in a steel container. Steel containers are generally long lasting and convenient to use.

Therefore, if you are using a plastic container that is not BPA free, throw it today only and buy a new one that is BPA free or take a glass or stainless steel water container to add years to your life.
