The kitchen floor is the most notable part of a kitchen. So, choosing the right kitchen floor design is essential. There are many types of kitchen floor available but you have to be wise in making a decision on which kitchen floor design fits you well and your budget.

There are many factors that you should consider in choosing your kitchen floor these are:its safety and comfort (for yourself,children, and pets), its level of maintenance, cost for repair, its durability, your budget, installation fee, overall visual impact of the floor, and resistance to water and fire.

In the level of maintenance on the kitchen floor it can be either easily cleaned by simple techniques like vacuuming & damp-mopping or it needs the use of solvent cleaners/polishers and other chemical substances.

Today most kitchen floors are fire and water resistant but you have to re-confirm it when you buy that floor.

Durability of the kitchen floor is very important to avoid unnecessary and expensive cost for repair and or installation. If you have children and pets then the floor in your kitchen should be able to withstand the wear and tear.

The most common kitchen floor is the Vinyl. This due to a wide array of choices and it can easily be maintained.

The kitchen flooring that is cost-effective and long life expectancy is the Linoleum flooring. It is fire and water resistant, resist wear and tear, and easily cleaned.

The Hardwood kitchen floor adds a higher price value on your house. It can be easily maintained with any type of regular cleaning.

Bamboo flooring on your kitchen provides you a much stronger floor than a hardwood floor. It is fire resistant and only involves light cleaning.

Also cork floor is water and fire resistant. You can walk on it without producing any noise.

You can install Ceramic tiles. Its water and fire resistant. But Porcelain tiles cost much less than Ceramic tiles.

There are many types of Natural Stone flooring for your kitchen floor these are: Granite tile, Marble tile, Quarried Flagstone, Limestone, and Travertine. This kitchen floor design adds higher price value to your house just the same as Hardwood flooring. But with this kitchen flooring it can give you costly repairs.
