Constructing A Natural Swimming Pool

By Jim Thorpe

Every homeowner at some point or another is likely to get tired of their living room set up. Perhaps because the living room has looked the same since the 1980's or simply because the homeowner feels like a change of scenery would do them good.

These two obstacles to building a swimming pool in the back yard of a home are, first, the overall costs of instillation and construction, and second, the hassle of maintenance with its associated costs and added time and effort on the part of the owner. But what if both of these obstacles could be easily overcome with one inventive, if not retro, pool construction idea and associated method?

Would a homeowner actually consider the construction of a pool if these two obstacles could be easily overcome? In the end, these are questions that a homeowner and a family will need to consider by themselves, but the answer to how these two primary obstacles can be overcome can be answered with one statement-build a natural swimming pool.

One the best ways for a homeowner to begin being able to think of new ideas to improve their living room is to honestly consider the needs of the room, followed by the wants desired of the living room. For example, if the living room needs more seating to accommodate a growing family, the simple fix is to go out and purchase more sofas, love seats or lounge chairs to fulfill that need.

Nevada limestone is often used in other capacities too like flooring, vanity tops, furniture, and blackboard chalk. It's not limited to just use on the tops of homes.

First, because it is basically just a hole in the ground, a natural swimming pool can cost no more than the rental for a backhoe and some Nevada limestone. A natural swimming pool is constructed, as stated before, by simply digging out a bowl shape hole in the ground of the back yard with a surrounding or bordering shallow trench that is connected to the bowl, which trench will be talked about shortly.

Another way to quickly improve the appearance of the living room is to undertake a simple painting project. Homes in their entirety can be improved upon with a touch of paint and likewise can the appearance, and value, of a living room be enhanced by the presence of a fresh coat of paint.

The trench will be home to natural aquatic plants. Sounds icky, but because the trench is only connected to the main bowl of the pool by no more than an inch of water, the plants can not stray into the main pool area but can still provide their function of cleaning the pool.

That is right, because the water in the pool can circulate back and forth from the pool area to the shallow trench filled with natural plant life, there is no need for a cleaning system in the pool as the plants do this naturally. As one can see, a natural swimming pool overcomes the obstacles of initial construction costs and maintenance costs and time all with one basic but genius pool construction idea.
