Good Backup Porch Light - Recommended - Outdoor Path Lighting Review

By William Patterson

We set up this porch light on the side door that people generally enter through. I will make an effort to fix myself or throw it in the trash. But next the motion sensor stopped detecting any movement and refused to light up. Item functions as advertised, sensitivity is just right. All you've got to do is add four "C" cells and drive two screws and it is set up anyplace. The motion sensor usually comes on, and also the light turns off after thirty seconds of no movement.

I suppose it never occured to me that one may want a light to come on when it had been light. Okay brightness and range.

I am totally happy. I'm not trying to do heart surgery. The light is effective in outside places that you have no power to wire in a light. I've not used it enough to discuss battery life but overall I believe this is a very good item. This light functions as marketed, which others I attempted did not do. It appears to be cheaply made (in China, if that issues for you).

Moved myself in front of the sensor, the light came on again for thirty seconds.

We have raccoons that roam during the night. My specifications for a motion activated light are they have to be cheap, LED, wireless, and photocell. Overall, they light the little area well enough. You have to really move in front of these, as opposed to much more sensitive office lighting schemes, although not so much it's a problem.

I really like it and really feel safer already. Let me clarify. I got myself this solar lamp post 8 months ago and installed it on my front porch.

We're happy with this particular light.

This seemed truly unsafe in my experience and of course the home was not going to set up additional lighting. I found it least expensive right here on amazon.com. Based on the amount of light given off I've got a hard time recommending this for anything apart from giving some light to a dark hallway or stairway where you only need enough light to keep you from tripping over things at night time. These sensors work completely for that. This is an LED therefore it is extremely bright with little warmth, and it is been working ideal for the last month.
