Tips To Making A Great Bar Design

By Leslie Ball

One of the most important things for most customers when it comes to visiting bars would be the ambiance and atmosphere of the place. Of course it is because of this that one has to come up with a very good bar design in order to attract more customers. For those who are planning to enter this kind of field, here are some tips on how to design bars.

Of course the design of bars should always match the main design of the establishments they are in. One example of consistency would be that pubs or clubs should have dark colored bars with bright lights because of the party vibe. Restaurants in contrast, should have colors that are somewhat dark but would give off a cozy feeling because people are there to relax.

Another very important thing to take note of is the size. Now the size of a restaurant or pub would also be the indicator as to how big their bars would be as well. Bars should not be made too big but they should be visible when a customer would enter the premises.

Now the placement is also very important because one has to put it in a place where the customers can see. In a restaurant or pub, it is usually placed opposite the groups of tables and chairs. For huge places, the owners would sometimes put their bars in the middle.

The shape is actually very important as well because the shape would be the one to determine whether a customer will have a good impression on the place or not. Now in posh places, bars would usually have a circular or a half circle shape in order to promote elegance and style. Now in party places or regular pubs, the shape of bars there would usually be a rectangle to give off a more lively vibe.

Now the bar stools also have to be picked properly as well. Notice that in a classy restaurant or a high class bar the stools are soft and very comfortable. In contrast, a club where people are dancing would have stools that are not so comfortable and not so soft as well because customers are supposed to be up and dancing.

Lastly, one would have to take note of the display of bottles at the back of the bar. Now this is actually very important because the drinks are what would attract the eyes of customers when they would walk into a bar. In culinary school, students will be taught how to strategically place each drink or bottle in the shelves.

So if one is interested in opening up a club, pub, or restaurant, then these are some things he has to take note of. Even though it may not seem very important, design is something that is absolutely crucial in gaining customers. It is for this reason that a lot of establishment owners would really hire interior designers to make their places look grand and eye catching.
