Ways To Know If Burglars Are Targeting Your Family's Home

By Pabma B Kandikunda

I heard the phone rang inside my office. I was about to go fetch Cheryl at that moment. After doing work all day, I was certainly looking forward to enjoying the night with my partner, loosening up. The very last thing I wanted was to become held back by a phone call coming from a customer.

That was Cheryl. The house had been burglarized. Without my being aware of it, my cellular phone had quit on me, and she understood it when she was the one that got the call. The authorities were already there. My DIY home security system had alarmed her. I ran out towards the car.

This is a cordless security system which I had installed just a month prior to that day.

In the event that the system's detectors pick up a door or window becoming forced open, or an intruder's action, an alarm gets triggered and sends out a signal towards a base unit. This then calls one of up to five saved numbers.

My cellular phone number was the first listed in the device. The second the system calls, it plays a prerecorded notification message, and I can hear what is taking place inside our home or shout at a trespasser through the base device. Or I can disarm the device. The second number listed, which is Cheryl's phone number, is going to be dialed if I neither answer my cell phone nor disarm the system.

Our HomeSafe wireless home security system features a base device having an AC adaptor, a movement sensor with an eight-yard range, and a remote control with panic feature for arming and disarming the system. There is also one window or door sensing unit with cordless transmission as much as 250 feet.

Each user of the system can have a push-button control. The unit needs a landline having tone dialing, and does not work on all digital lines, but works on all analog lines.

Getting in touch with 911 was the first thing Cheryl did. The police said the alarm must have scared the intruders off just before they could take anything at all. Cheryl and I could ultimately devote the remainder of the evening relaxing. Pretty good for a do it yourself home security system.
