Safety Devices To Use When Home Alone

By Raemond E Torres

My spouse's work typically takes him away for weeks on end. Just as I was becoming accustomed to being home alone with our two-year-old kid, several break-ins caused a stir inside our neighborhood.

In order to fortify my confidence, I understood that I needed the help of a self-defense weapon. My research informed me that the best stun gun is one with sufficient take-down power to work immediately and efficiently towards an assailant of any size or tolerance to pain.

Stun guns that have this much power are high voltage stun guns. Powerful stun guns, like the Double Trouble stun gun which I acquired on the web, can take an attacker down using fewer shots in comparison to common stun devices, thus giving faster-acting defense.

Aside from packing a punch 1.2 million volts strong, my personal self protection gadget features a unique style that makes it even more effective. Whereas other types of stun guns have 1.5 inches of gap between the stun contacts, my stun gun has five inches of gap isolating the contacts.

With 1.5 inches between the electrified prongs, only a single point of contact is done on the target. Meanwhile, the 5-inch gap between the probes provides several points of contact. This means pain simultaneously inflicted onto a number of areas.

Don't misunderstand me, though. Upon contact, all regular stun guns discharge non-lethal electrical energy sufficiently strong enough to take an opponent down without causing long term injury. However, my unit doubles the rate of this action by delivering two times the normal stopping power.

My own stun gun is also built with a rubber-coated soft contour grip, making it very easy to grip to. Furthermore, it possesses a safety switch with a red LED that indicates whether or not it's ready to fire.

Realizing that even the best stun gun may not work effectively with a panic-stricken head, I also complement my tool with continuous vigilance. With a reliable self-defense device readily available, I know that I could adequately protect myself and my own from danger.
