Are You Needing Ultrasonic Mole Repellents?

By Melonie Amezquita

We all love the great outdoors - but we don't like the pests that can make an outdoor outing in the backyard a miserable event. Fortunately, technology at these times have evolved into a much safer way of keeping away these pests by using ultrasonic devices, electronic yard fences or strobe lights. We don't have to use traps, pesticides or chemicals that are dangerous for humans, most especially for kids and the old, and for desirable creatures from the wild.

These devices will help you eliminate unwelcome guests. Gophers, moles, squirrels, deer, cats, dogs and other animals that are not welcome will stay away and your conscience is clean because you haven't hurt anyone at all. The animal's ears will hurt once they hear the high frequency sound or vibration from these ultrasonic gadgets and when that happens, they will retreat. This girl friend of mine doesn't like the squirrels in her backyard, or squirrels at all. Her house, her vegetation, her chairs on the deck - all ruined. The ultrasonic device that she acquired and used was very effective! At this point in time, my friend is satisfied. As to the squirrels, they get to live another day.

Considerable harm can be brought about by gophers and moles on your garden, plants and shrubs. Not only does it do harm to your lawn but also to your own safety because you are sure to fall down and slip with all the mounds and tunnels on the surface they made. These rodents often dig tunnels beneath the surface creating air vents for their homes below and in your well kept garden. Their burrows' measurement can stretch up to many miles and if you dig down, it can go as deep as 5 feet, the least is two feet. Each family of these rodents can have as much as twelve babies and the only thing they are good at is digging. What they eat, they automatically convert it to energy so their bodies do not stock up fat and that is why they do not hide away and sleep. The estimated yearly intake of food for a mole is 40 pounds. That is their life - eating and digging. Moles feed on worms, which are important in plant aeration to make the plants grow healthy. Gophers eat roots and plant material.

Moles create meandering surface tunnels, while gophers rarely have surface tunnels - and when they do, they are straighter. Moles will make a small volcano like mound, and a gopher will make a more irregular, kidney bean shaped one. If you have a garden covered in healthy flourishing lawns, these creatures will be all over the place. Gophers and moles chew on roots of trees, grains, grasses, shrubs and a variety of vegetables. They like lilies, irises, tulips, carrots, peas, and beans. Although moles prefer and will mostly feed on grubs, worms and insects, they will munch on plant materials. On the other hand, gophers prefer nice juicy plant material. Gophers, moles, voles, chipmunks, and woodchucks are very intelligent animals. We know them as masters of escape - from traps, baits and poisons.

You don't have to wonder on who the culprit is that destroyed your garden. If you see mounds and tunnels, then you have a gopher or mole in your midst. Anything that is living, I value their existence by not taking it away from them. I move spiders in the house to the outdoors, move snakes in the yard toward the lake (I know, I know, I am one of THOSE people). Since I don't advocate killing, try the ultrasonic device in the market. It's a much safer alternative.
