Water damage occurs in buildings constructed with concretes material if the surfaces are not sealed or protected from dampness. Backfill soils tend to be loose in soil structure meaning that they have more pores, which allow water to soak. With the increased dampness, it exposes the walls of basement foundation to water damage. Sealers are designed to provide a protective barrier to the concretes. The sealer materials may dissolve in concretes or form coatings.
