I place one in a little rarely used closet which had no light. The swivel style is such that the outdoor path lighting fixture could be modified to suit your needs perfectly. I used these lights for a 64 long gun safe. It's protected against the sun and rain, and we save electricity now that we don't have to have the front light on constantly. Ironically, in yesterday's mail I got 24 catalogues! A fifth star would be attained if they had been higher quality, but for the cost, they do precisely what I needed and I am pleased as punch. Wastes batteries which are not included. My only grievances, if you could call them that, would be the unit isn't attractive (thankfully it's mainly out of view for what I am using it for), and also the light is really a blue "day light" colour (I favor warm white). For charging if/when needed use the Speedy Charger for Ni-CD or Ni-MH Batteries. It really works well for that but I am dissatisfied in the quantity of light it gives off. Paid for four movement sensor units that I expected to light when I am four to five feet away. I purchased this contemporary outdoor lighting fixture for my pantry, without any electrical outlets close by. I had been hoping for more with 10 LEDs. When this package arrived at home, 2 of the 4 lights had their movement sensor shields broken off and dropped inside the gadget themselves. The movement detector works like a charm, regularly turning on when the door is opened or approached from the other part. The development and style are spot on because it looks excellent and feels significant.
I am not sure how far away the motion sensor outdoor lighting might detect motion, but it is effective within the 5 or so feet that I utilize it. It does not work through glass, which I kind of already realized but I believed I would try anyway.
$8 to waste. Movement sensor is effective. I now have three of these; one alongside my pool pump to illuminate the area when I am turning it off or on during the night, and the other two within my shed.
A+ quick delivery Amazon! They are nice and bright, and also the motion sensor is effective, and it has great sensitivity on picking up on the secure door opening and instantly turning on to light up the safe. Granted, I mounted mine on the beam under a patio cover, but which cover leaks and one of the models has got wet - still, no problem.
I purchased these contemporary ceiling light for motion lights on my screened-in porch.
