There is also another advantage of structural moulding over injection moulding. This is because it makes very thick structural parts, compared to those that are produced by injection moulding. The funny thing is that they have thick products which weigh really less. Their lightness comes about because of the cells bursting against the walls and letting the foam to keep flowing. They also lose their weight during their cooling process.
A hot runner system is a system normally used by this process. There are two basic reasons as to why this is just the best system to run the process. They are very flexible. This means that they can be disentangled from their initial shape, then constructed back to the shape the the processor wants. The reason for this is for the manufacturer to make the different shapes that the structures need to be having.
The second one is their ability to reach every part of the large machine platens. This makes it easier for the injections at the different injection points to go on flowing. They can even flow in different amounts depending their independent adjustments.
