I have always enjoyed researching the peoples and cultures that make up our world and I take pride in decorating my home in a manner that honors the traditions of other people and one of my latest ways to do this was by buying some truly astonishing handmade Persian rugs. I learned about them fortuitously when I was remodeling my home, particularly my living room in order to better display my collection, especially my Byzantine sculptures and Inuit wood carvings.
I knew that my collection was really something impressive, but when I looked at the room as a whole, I could tell that the floor was the one area that could use a little something. This was upsetting for me, but then I remembered that I had once seen some stunning handmade Persian rugs in the home of a fellow collector and I knew right away that I wanted something like that in my home.
I gave my friend a call, thinking that it would probably be in vain as such things are usually very difficult to find unless one is willing to travel to exotic lands. He chuckled for a while and gave me a tale about finding them in a secret shop somewhere in one of the world's major cities and that I could know where this place was if I signed a mysterious contract.
I told him that this was acceptable to me, so he handed me a piece of paper that, when I opened it, revealed not a secret location but a website address, all part of his elaborate joke. I laughed, even though I felt foolish and thanked my friend for his assistance before ending the call and jumping on my computer to see if this website was real or not.
I found it, and I was very impressed with what I saw on this website, and I had a very hard time deciding which of them would best complement my magnificent collection and should be a part of my order, especially a braided wool rug that caught my eye. After taking some time to meditate on the issue, I returned to my computer knowing exactly which rugs I would be buying and what I wanted to do with them. The instant I saw the deliveryman leave my house, I ripped apart the packaging and placed my new rugs on the floor of my living room, and I was so excited about how they looked that I invited the whole neighborhood over to view my collection!
